2022 Annual Highlights

Dear New Orleans,

While 2022 was certainly full of challenges, the people of this city continue to press forward to make progress. Whether it's responding to emergencies or building community capacity to prepare for success, when we all come together, great things can happen.

Together, with your guidance and support, our team has built upon our past progress to build a safer, more affordable future for us all. We've fought to hold government accountable, invest in our people, and reform stagnant systems to improve access, efficiency, and transparency.

Public safety continues to dominate our agenda and we must take a broad, community-centered approach to ensuring everyone in our city knows peace and safety.

To keep New Orleans safe into the future, we've positioned the public sector as a leading partner in our fight against global warming by setting high standards and driving change that leaves no one behind.

Our economic development efforts prioritize small, local, and emerging entrepreneurs and culture bearers while making it easier to work with local government every step of the way.

The work continues and I want to thank the people of New Orleans for the opportunity to serve and for advancing critical issues that move the city forward.

As always, I look forward to continuing this significant and meaningful work in 2023!
